Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) is stored in high-pressure vessels at pressures up to 4,400 PSI. For the gas to be used in downstream equipment — turbines, generators, frac spreads, or pipeline systems — that pressure must be stepped down through a controlled letdown process. The M125 PRS manages this pressure reduction with precision, regulating gas from transport pressure down to the specific outlet pressure required by the application.
The M125 features pressure relief devices at various pressure stages, ensuring safe and controlled gas letdown even during rapid demand changes. The system's PLC-based controls manage all safety systems while providing operators with friendly HMI screens for adjusting set points and monitoring alarm conditions in real time.
In virtual pipeline deployments, CNG is delivered by tube trailers to sites without traditional pipeline access.
